The excitement is building as Move-In Day at Concordia University Texas approaches! Whether you're a first-year student or a returning Tornado, it's time to get organized and prepare for your new home away from home. To make sure you're ready, here's a comprehensive checklist of what to bring and what to leave behind as you embark on this exciting new journey.

Essential Items to Bring:

  • Bedding: Extra-long twin sheets, blanket, and pillow.
  • Towels: Bath, hand, and washcloths.
  • Toiletries: All your daily essentials.
  • Laundry Bag or Hamper: Keep your laundry organized.
  • Laundry Supplies: Detergent, dryer sheets, etc.
  • Cleaning Supplies: Broom, sweeper, toilet bowl cleaner, brush, and cleaning wipes.
  • Hangers: For all your clothes.
  • Power Strips/Extension Cords: Be sure they're surge-protected.
  • Wall-Safe Adhesive Strips/Poster Putty: For decorating your space.
  • Lamp: A good desk lamp is a must.
  • Refrigerator (Regents Hall Only): 1 per room (Refrigerators are provided in Alumni Founders Hall).
  • Medications: Don't forget your prescriptions.
  • Dinnerware: Plate, bowl, and utensil set for snacks or meals in your room.
  • Toilet Paper: Always handy to have extra.
  • Drinks and Snacks: Stock up on your favorites.
  • Desk Supplies: Stapler, tape, and other essentials.
  • Umbrella: Be prepared for Texas weather.
  • Trash Can and Trash Bags: Keep your space clean.

Items to Leave at Home:

  • Air fryer and cooking appliances.
  • Toaster.
  • Candles.
  • Pets.
  • Microwaves (prohibited in REGENTS HALL, provided in Alumni/Founders).
  • Extension cords (unless surge-protected).
  • Plug-in LED or Christmas lights.
  • Weapons and ammunition.
  • Excess furniture (the provided furniture must stay in the room).

Move-In Checklist:

  • Register for On-Campus Housing: Ensure your housing application is complete.
  • Submit Your Housing Application: Don’t miss the deadline.
  • Pay Commitment Deposit: Secure your spot on campus.
  • Student ID and Parking pass

Important Dates to Remember:

  • August 22: First-Year Student Move-In Day.
  • August 22: First-Year Hall Meeting in Regents Commons, followed by a Patio Party.
  • August 23: Returner Move-In Day.
  • August 26: Returner Hall Meeting.
