Student Vision Takes Center Stage

Four unique one-act plays, each directed by a talented senior theatre student, will illuminate the stage with tales of awakening, empowerment, and the delicate balance of life and death.

The Lineup:

  • The Divine Fallacy by Tina Howe (directed by Anna McCauley): Chaos unfolds as a camera-shy author steps into the world of a fashion photographer's studio for a headshot session for her upcoming novel.
  • The Art of Self-Defense by Trish Johnson (directed by Molly Stewart): A comedic exploration of female friendship found in an unexpected place—a Tai Chi class.
  • A Kind of Alaska by Harold Pinter (inspired by "Awakenings" by Oliver Sacks, directed by Kendra Theimer): A poignant drama delving into the struggles of a woman re-entering the world after a 29-year slumber.
  • Variations on the Death of Trotsky by David Ives (directed by Christian Garza): A humorous take on the final day of Russian revolutionary Leon Trotsky.
