Terms of Service
Effective Date: April 2026
Use of the Concordia University Texas website and related communication services (the "Site") and the content contained in the Site is governed by the terms of this Agreement (the "Agreement") between you and Concordia University Texas ("CTX"). Your use of the Site constitutes your unconditional agreement to be bound by the terms of this Agreement. If you do not agree with the terms and conditions of this Agreement, you must immediately cease using the Site.
1. Intellectual Property Rights
The Site is subject to protection under copyrights, trademarks, and/or other intellectual property rights owned, controlled, or licensed by CTX and its affiliates, or by third parties. These rights are protected by common law, state laws, and U.S. and international laws. CTX expressly reserves all rights, titles, and interests in and to all copyrights, trade names, logos, patents, and other intellectual property and proprietary rights in and to the Site, including but not limited to any images, photographs, animations, video, audio, music, text, and "applets"; the overall "look and feel," processes, software, technology, and other materials which appear on the Site; and the business processes used to market products and services. You agree that your rights are limited to those granted in this Agreement, and you will not acquire any rights except as expressly set forth in this Agreement.
Prohibited Conduct and Site Security
You are prohibited from violating or attempting to violate the security of the Site, including, without limitation:
- Accessing data not intended for your use or logging onto a server or an account which you are not authorized to access;
- Attempting to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of a system or network or to breach security or authentication measures without proper authorization;
- Attempting to interfere with service to any user, host, or network, including, without limitation, via means of submitting a virus to the Site, overloading, "flooding," "spamming," "mailbombing," or "crashing"; or
- Sending unsolicited email, including promotions and/or advertising of products or services.
Violations of system or network security may result in civil or criminal liability.
3. Automated Access and Robots
The Site may contain robot exclusion headers. Much of the information on the Site is updated on a regular basis and is proprietary or is licensed to CTX by our suppliers and other third parties. You agree not to use any device, technique, software, system, or routine to interfere or attempt to interfere with, or to otherwise circumvent the proper working of the Site or any activity conducted on the Site. You agree not to use or attempt to use any engine, device, technique, software, tool, agent, or other device or mechanism (including without limitation spiders, robots, scrapers, or intelligent agents) to navigate, access, or search the Site, other than generally available web browsers or assistive technology tools used for accessibility purposes. Additionally, you agree not to take any action that imposes an unreasonable or disproportionately large load on our infrastructure, or bypass robot exclusion headers or other access restrictions on the Site.
4. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SITE AND ALL CONTENT, MATERIALS, AND SERVICES PROVIDED THROUGH THE SITE ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. CTX EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. CTX DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS. CTX MAKES NO WARRANTY REGARDING THE ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, RELIABILITY, OR TIMELINESS OF ANY CONTENT ON THE SITE.
5. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, CTX AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AND SUPPLIERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM (I) YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SITE; (II) ANY UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO OR USE OF OUR SERVERS AND/OR ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION STORED THEREIN; (III) ANY INTERRUPTION OR CESSATION OF TRANSMISSION TO OR FROM THE SITE; OR (IV) ANY BUGS, VIRUSES, OR OTHER HARMFUL CODE TRANSMITTED TO OR THROUGH THE SITE. IN NO EVENT SHALL CTX'S TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU EXCEED ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100).
CTX will not be liable for damages resulting from any failure caused by events beyond its control, including acts of God, power failures, or other causes not within the control of CTX.
6. Termination and Indemnification
If you violate any of the terms or conditions of this Agreement, this Agreement terminates immediately without notice. CTX may deny access to the Site to you and anyone claiming by or through you without liability to anyone. CTX shall have all additional rights and remedies at law and in equity arising from such violation. You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold CTX, and its affiliates, suppliers, employees, and agents harmless from all claims, actions, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or relating to any prohibited use of the Site that you initiate or authorize. If you violate or infringe upon the rights of any third party, such third party retains all remedies at law and in equity.
7. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
Any delay or failure to act with respect to a breach of this Agreement by you or others does not constitute a waiver and shall not limit CTX’s rights with respect to such breach or any subsequent breaches. The laws of Texas, U.S.A. will apply to any disputes arising out of or relating to this Agreement. All claims arising out of or relating to this Agreement will be litigated exclusively in the federal or state courts of Travis County, Texas, USA, and you and CTX consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts. If any provision of this Agreement is held to be invalid or unenforceable, such invalidity or unenforceability shall not affect the remainder of this Agreement.
8. SMS and Text Messaging Communications
By providing your mobile phone number to CTX and opting in to receive SMS/text messages, you agree to the following terms:
- Consent: You expressly consent to receive recurring automated or manually dialed text messages from CTX at the mobile number you provide. Consent is not a condition of enrollment, admission, or any purchase.
- Opt-Out: You may opt out of receiving SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. After opting out, you will receive a one-time confirmation message. For help, reply HELP or contact us at communications@concordia.edu.
- Message and Data Rates: Standard message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. CTX is not responsible for any fees charged by your mobile carrier.
- Data Privacy: We do not sell, rent, or share your phone number or SMS message data with third parties for their marketing purposes. Your phone number and messaging data will only be used by CTX for the purposes for which you provided consent.
- Supported Carriers: SMS service may not be available on all carriers. CTX is not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
9. Privacy Policy
Your use of the Site is also governed by CTX’s Privacy Policy, which is incorporated herein by reference. Please review the Privacy Policy, which is available separately at concordia.edu/about/website-details/privacy-policy.html.
10. Copyright Complaints (DMCA)
If you believe that any content on the Site infringes your copyright, please send a written notice to CTX’s designated agent with the required information to communications@concordia.edu.
11. Modifications to This Agreement
CTX reserves the right to modify this Agreement at any time. Changes will be effective when posted to the Site with an updated effective date. Your continued use of the Site after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Agreement.

13. Entire Agreement
This Agreement, together with CTX’s Privacy Policy, represents the entire agreement between you and CTX regarding the use of the Site.
