Attention nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts: we are thrilled to announce our 2024 Nature Fest! From April 8th to April 13th, we invite you to immerse yourself in the beauty of nature and discover the wonders that surround our campus.

Raptor Demonstration by Sky Kings Falconry

Witness the majesty of hawks, owls, falcons, vultures, and other raptors in a free flight program that will leave you amazed by these birds in action.

Nature Fest Outdoor Chapel

Outdoor Chapel

Experience the beauty of worship in nature at the Pier for the #packthehouse Wednesday chapel at 10 a.m. Join us for songs, readings, prayers, and a devotional amidst the splendor of the outdoors. Bring a blanket for a cozy seat on the ground and stay for post-chapel snacks and drinks.

Friesenhahn Cave Tour

Delve into history, ecology, and adventure with the Friesenhahn Cave Tour. Explore the underground wonders, including caves and fossils, while learning about the site's fascinating background.

Preserve Tours

Participate in a guided tour of the CTX Preserve via the Short or Long Loop. Our OES team will lead you on this journey and share insights and knowledge about its flora and fauna.

Threatened Texas Art Walk

Artist and Educator Juliet Whitsett brings her "Biodiversity of Texas" series to life in an interactive exhibit. Located between buildings E & F, this QR interactive display showcases Texas' rarest and most at-risk species, some of which are actively preserved by our University!

All Things Wild Education Program

Meet Texas native wildlife up close! The All-Things Wild Rehabilitation education program will be on-site, offering insights into local wildlife conservation. From owls to small mammals, learn about their vital roles in our ecosystem.

Campus Birding

Join Carol & Carl Trovall for bird watching tours around campus, including the scenic Tornado Trail. Binoculars will be provided, so all you need is your curiosity.
