    Benchmark Q&A

    WHO WILL REVIEW MY SUBMISSION/APPLICATION?

Benchmark applications and required materials are reviewed by the College of Education Teacher Education Faculty.

HOW WILL I KNOW IF I AM APPROVED TO CONTINUE ON TO THE NEXT BENCHMARK?

Teacher candidates will receive a letter via Dynamic Forms informing them of their acceptance or denial for that benchmark. Teacher candidates must read and sign the letter as directed in the email. Failure to follow the stated instructions will nullify acceptance into the benchmark.

HOW WILL I PREPARE FOR MY CERTIFICATION EXAMS?

Students will be given access to 240 Tutoring and other resources during EDU 3101. The assessment process is outlined in the benchmark PowerPoint slides.

WHAT IF I AM NOT ACCEPTED?

Teacher candidates who are not accepted to the next step of their program will meet with their advisor to determine next steps, depending on their deficiencies. Students may be asked to complete certain requirements before continuing with a practicum, clinical teaching or residency.

Once completed by all parties, forms must be submitted into the BBL course by the dates referenced in the Clinical Teaching Checklist.

Please read the Clinical Teaching Handbook and use the forms provided through Dynamic Forms, in the Clinical Teaching course in BB and on this page throughout the Clinical Teaching Experience.
